Shifu Matthew Stanback
Shifu Matthew Stanback began his training at in 1993 at the age of five under Malenga Yusef at the Dennis Brown Shaolin Wushu Academy in Mitchellville, Maryland. He followed Fundi Yusef to Full Circle Martial Arts where he received his Black Belt in 1997.
Shifu Matthew quickly distinguished himself at a young age as a very talented and dedicated student. He has become a prominent champion. National judges have even declared his demonstration of his specialty style, Ba Chi, as one of the best ever. His technique and performances are legendary in tournament circles.
The early 2000's saw him continue his tournament reign taking numerous gold and silver medals in fighting and weapons. His accomplishments include victories at the U.S. Capitol Classics, Martial Art Olympics, International Wu-shu Games, and the International Martial Arts Championship. Shifu Matthew won Silver Medal in Men's Forms at 13th Annual UC Berkely Chinese Martial Arts Tournament.

He currently works in three different capacities as he continues his training. He is Counselor for our After School Program. He is Instructor for our evening Shaolin Kung-fu program. He is also a Regional Coach for the AAU Chinese Martial Arts program.
Shifu Matthew also initiated the School of Martial Science and Fitness Entrepreneurial Education Program along with Shifu Denard. His management skills are as fine tuned as his martial technique as he prepares to manage a location in Atlanta, GA.
